Erratico – 30 artisti italiani per un taccuino naturalistico itinerante

A botanical and zoological-themed notebook, created by 30 Aipan artists, travelled from house to house throughout Italy, from 2020 to 2021, enabling the Association's annual project to be realised, despite the restrictions due to the pandemic: the participation of all members in a thematic exhibition.

The artists, among them, Fulco Pratesi, honorary president of WWF Italy, were asked to illustrate a subject on the front of the pages of a handmade gusseted notebook, using a free technique, taking inspiration from the 'territory' of their own home - a landscape, a plant or an animal - and to describe the image depicted on the back of their board. In addition to Erratico, which measures about 380 cm when open, other nature-themed notebooks will be on display.

During the course of the exhibition, workshops with the Association's artists dedicated to the creation of nature notebooks are planned for schools and families, with insights into the different techniques used: watercolour, tempera, coloured pencils, Indian ink and wax crayons.
