The Art of the Mosaic

From 6 to 11 June, the Annex in the Casina delle Civette will host the 6th Mosaics Show, organised by the 2nd Permanent Territorial Centre for Adult Education. The exhibition brings together more than 50 mosaics by course members/adults that attend the Institute and course members/inmates of Rebibbia Prison, in particular the Third Section for Drug Addicts and the Mens’ Penal Institute. The mosaics were created in the Centre, which was opened in 1999 in the district of San Lorenzo, and in Rebibbia Prison, where inmates have expressed their creativity in tiny works of art. The Mosaics course, like others offered by the Centre, has once again shown that it meets the requirements of adults and those who wish to train to become professional craftsmen.
