The bookshop of the Museum of Villa Torlonia is located inside the Casino Nobile, on the ground floor in the huge entrance area that was used by the Torlonia family for parking their coaches; inside, two comfortable chairs offer the possibility to read the various books in a comfortable place.
The shop offers a wide selection of books about fine arts: glass, pottery, and wood, and also books about Rome's historic villas and gardens, the Art Nouveau buildings of the Nomentano district, the history of the Torlonia family and the history of Mussolini, who was resident there from 1925 to 1943.
There are also official guides about Villa Torlonia and the Casina delle Civette and other museums in Rome, the catalogues of the monographic exhibitions of the painters of the Roman School and professional books about gardens, landscape gardening and plants in Italian, French and English. The gadgets are original, creative, funny and always inspired by the theme of gardens. You can also find fun articles for children.
