Italian painting... and other stories
A dialogue between artists of yesterday and today: Angelo Mosca, Michele Tocca, Pio Semeghini, Roberto Melli, Lorenza Boisi, Ivan Malerba, Carlo Levi, Carlo Dalla Zorza, Fausto Pirandello.
Through a dialogue between artists of yesterday and today, the exhibition explores unusual aspects of modernity in painting: the "other stories", in fact, reveal the "History" as a territory yet to explore. With over seventy works, the exhibition questions about notions of everyday life, current taste and dateability, forgetfulness and fame, tradition and innovation, to shed a light on how the painting changes its meanings over time, its present becomes the past and its past becomes the present, in a reciprocal tension that opens to the future.
