The exhibition aims to cover the long creative process of one of the masters of the twentieth century, an artist who has always managed to combine great technical skills with an acute and profound consciousness of his time.
His work represent a valuable record of fifty years of Italian history, from the debris of war to the hopes of rebuilding, from the new myths of consumer society, to the ethical and existential decay following the collapse of the ideals of social reform.
The exhibition will include approximately fifty paintings and a similar number of drawings and engravings, vintage documents and photographs.
